The Heidelberger Castle Festival celebrates the beauty, history and culture of Heidelberg as symbolized by Heidelberg Castle.  Held during the summer months, the courtyard of Heidelberg Castle becomes the venue of open-air concerts and theatrical performances.  A highlight of the festival is the performance of the Student Prince, an operetta by Sigmund Romberg.  Also featured in the festival are jazz performances, folkloric performances, and many others.
